Code of Conduct

1. The student code of conduct sets out the standards of conduct expected of students. It holds individuals and groups responsible for the consequences of their actions. Failure to fulfill these responsibilities may result in the withdrawal of privileges or the imposition of sanctions.
Mandatory Conduct
Mandatory conduct under the code includes but is not limited to:
    a. Maintenance of identity as student of college by wearing dress as specified by the Institute authorities.
    b. Full and whole-hearted participation in games and co-curricular activities.
    c. Adherence to follow the Standards of Procedures for relevant matters.
Prohibited Conduct
Prohibited conduct under the code includes but is not limited to:
    a. Indulgence in politics and membership of any party/organization/student federation and participation in holding gatherings, meetings or taking out processions. Group formation of     students to highlight any problem related to the college or hostel.
    b. Use of violence, threat of violence and pressure in any dispute with others. All means and methods shall be logical, precaution, petition, appeal, revision, review and other legal and peaceful methods for settlement of differences and disputes.
    c. Assaulting, harassing, intimidating or threatening another individual or group
    d. Endangering the health and safety of others.
    e. Stealing, misusing, destroying, defacing or damaging college property or property belonging to someone else.
    f. Disrupting college activities
    g. Supplying false information to the college or forging, altering or misusing any college document or record.
    h. In case of any dispute with students, teachers and employees of the Institute, student shall accept the judgment of the authorities constituted by the Institute.
    i. Doing anything, which may cause injury or insult to another student, teacher, official and other staff of the Institution.
    j. Using any kind of unfair means in examinations.
    k. Allowing or abetting the entry to the premises of the Institute of expelled students, antisocial elements, firearms, other weapons of offence and other whose presence in the campus could cause conflict.
    l. Bringing in the campus, consuming or encouraging consumption of alcohol or alcoholic products, drugs and narcotics and indulging in acts of moral turpitude.
    m. Using mobile phone in classrooms, hospital wards, laboratories and where not permitted by the Institute authorities.
    n. Using or occupying any room or part of any building of the Institution without lawful authority.
    o. Misbehaving, black mailing with any one particularly with the opposite gender.
    p. Staying back in hostel rooms without any valid reason during college hours.
    q. Indulging in any violent or any other undesirable activities even outside the campus of the Institute, which may bring bad name to the Institute.
    r. Indulging in any kind of unfair means, malpractice in the examinations, and coercion by any means.
Disciplinary Measures
Disciplinary measures that may be imposed under the code include but are not limited to:
     a. Written warning or reprimand
    b. Payment of costs or compensation for any loss, damage or injury caused by the conduct
    c. Issuance of an apology, made publicly or privately.
    d. Loss of certain privileges.
    e. Restriction or prohibition of access to or use of college facilities, services, activities and programs.
    f. Penalty
    g. Suspension
    h. Expulsion
2. In case there is any dispute between student one hand and administration of the Institute on the other hand regarding any involvement in disciplinary or political matters, regarding the imposition of penalty or damages, the matter shall be referred to Rector NUMS through Principal QIMS, as the sole arbitrator and its decision in such capacity shall be final and binding on that shall not be challenged in any court of law.
3. Student shall abide by the decision of the QIMS authorities, in case he\she is found guilty of indiscipline, defamation, disrespect of the staff and other anti-institutional or anti-social activities.
